I'm so over blogging

...but here I am.

For so long I thought that maybe my blogging would become something - whether it was here or at Salty Stix but then when the cold hard truth set in I got extremely disenfranchised. I didn't think there was a point anymore. But then I realized that I had to write something, somewhere. To me writing is like cooking (well, everyone has one, cooking is mine) in that writing also relaxes me, it helps me focus my mind, and so, here I am.

I'm back - kind of

Wow - no posts since January 27th! Any readers I had probably abandoned this sorry rag ages ago. Three months passed without a single thing written. Then again, I did find that my last attempt at blogging about politics was not published but saved as a draft (I just published it if anyone cared about reading a non-topical political rant). In my defense - I did THINK about writing one of these "i'm back" segments. School piled up, laziness seized hold of me, and I was killing myself trying to keep SaltyStix afloat. Which was painful because I wanted to write about other things - so much sports stuff to talk about - especially on the home front with the Cubs surging and then slumping and Alfonso's woes as well as the Bears pathetic season followed only by a pathetic offseason marked by the signing of two quarterbacks - that we already had! And then the Bulls' season coming to a close in a sorry disappointment, the departure of Skiles and a crazy job hunt. Not to mention all the DVD's I saw that I wanted to write about! I would say there was music, but that's mostly a lie. The only new music I started listening to was Eric Shiveley. Although I could have written about how purchasing old records of new faves (Kimya, Stars, and more) was sadly anti-climatic.

And now I'm off again - a school trip to Europe will keep me from my computer for a whole month! But I wanted to touch base - say my say about the above and write ONE article about a DVD I saw that made me really happy. But its been so long since I reviewed one here on the site that I have to look to check my formatting!

Um...really

Does he still write on this thing? Oh yeah, he does...kind of.

I've been REALLY busy keeping my other website (www.saltystix.com) afloat so i have neglected lots of fun stuff these last four months (has it really been that long?!) But I shall return.

Things to look forward to:

Movies: most anticipated movies and Oscar run-up

Music: my top CD's of 2007 and my 2007 playlist

Sports: baseball offseason and NFL playoffs

Rants: do ron paul supporters know ANY of his views?

I'm excited...hope you are too!

Some of my articles will be published at SaltyStix. SaltyStix is a site similar to this one that also features the writing of my (sometimes) like-minded friends and will go into many topics (especially TV) that might interest you, but topics I cannot cover alone. I hope you check it out!



And don't worry, I will continue to publish articles here that are not necessarily on SaltyStix, although many of my new articles, especially new movie reviews and pieces more in the "editorial vein" will be published here in blurbs where the complete article can be found at saltystix.

Basiclaly this is just a place for me to put up my thoughts and opinions about movies, music and more. Sometimes I'll rant, sometimes I won't.

I would hope my attempt at humor - the name of the site needs little explanation. It's merely a simple step from Pulp Fiction to Pulp Everything. The word Pulp was mostly just slang for whatever was written to appeal to the public. My hopes as well...
